Terms and Conditions
Last updated: June 23, 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of DiasporaHub (the “Platform”). By creating an account or using the Platform, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Platform, you confirm that you can form a binding contract with us and that you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy. We may update these Terms from time to time; continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
2. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be at least 16 years old (or the age of majority in your country) to use the Platform. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Registration Fee and Payments
Access to certain features requires a one-time registration fee, processed securely through our payment provider (Stripe). Fees are described at the point of payment. Except where required by law, fees are non-refundable. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your use of the Platform.
4. Using the Platform
DiasporaHub provides a jobs board, a marketplace, and community features. You agree to use the Platform lawfully and not to:
- Post false, misleading, fraudulent, or illegal content, jobs, or listings.
- Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other rights of any person.
- Harass, abuse, discriminate against, or harm other users.
- Upload malware or attempt to disrupt, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform.
- Scrape, harvest, or misuse data or other users’ personal information.
- Use the Platform to send spam or unsolicited communications.
5. User Content, Jobs, and Listings
You retain ownership of the content you post (profiles, jobs, listings, community posts, messages). By posting, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, display, and distribute that content as needed to operate the Platform. You are solely responsible for your content and must have the rights to post it. We may remove content or listings that violate these Terms or applicable law.
6. Transactions Between Users
DiasporaHub is a venue that connects job seekers, employers, buyers, sellers, and community members. We are not a party to, and are not responsible for, any agreement, transaction, or interaction between users, including job offers and marketplace sales. You deal with other users at your own risk and should exercise appropriate caution.
7. Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, software, trademarks, and content we provide, is owned by DiasporaHub or its licensors and is protected by law. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from it without our prior written permission.
8. Third-Party Services
The Platform may link to or rely on third-party services (such as payment processing). We are not responsible for the content, policies, or practices of third parties, and your use of them may be subject to their own terms.
9. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that listings and job posts are accurate or legitimate.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, DiasporaHub will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Platform. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Platform is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
11. Termination
You may stop using the Platform at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or use the Platform in a way that could harm us or other users. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which DiasporaHub is established, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be subject to the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.
